I can't believe it has been a month since I last posted. I have a long list of things that have happened since last time and I want to give them all recognition. I will just cover a few now and more later.
The end of May brought our first camping trip to Lake Byllesby. It is a county park in southern Dakota county we found last year that we like a lot. It's not too far away, a nice campground on a beautiful lake with a big beach. It wasn't quite warm enough yet for lake swimming, but for a short weekend it worked perfect.
What we did learn is that Sarah likes camping! She did very well and enjoyed riding in the carrier on our walks and slept well. We learned she just has to go to bed first. Once she is asleep then her sisters can go to bed.
On June 4 we celebrated the last day of school and attended Rachel's kindergarten graduation. Rachel was so excited and carried herself so proudly as they entered the gym for their ceremony. We are now a family of a 1st and 4th grader. We have since figured out that the year Sarah enters Kindergarten Rachel will be a 5th grader and Elizabeth in the 8th grade. It just makes me realize all the more how fast they grow up!
I'm forcing myself to end my recap here. We continue to be blessed in this process. Sarah's vocabulary has been expanding fairly quickly as she pushes the boundaries exploring. Anything and everything she can reach on tiptoe is fair game in her mind. So she has been hearing the word 'No' quite often, I'm waiting to see when I start hearing it back.
As you can see, we finally were able to capture a nice photo of the girls together (taken on the last day of school). It has been a challenge so far! We're still working on getting all five of us.
Thanks so much for checking in after such a long break!
