A long time ago, (It was really only four months ago, June 12-14.)
in a galaxy far away... (They just went up by Duluth to start from there.)
over 3000 people came together to raise money for MS,
on the 30th anniversary of a 150 mile ride.
They started on Friday by loading all their gear into big trailers, and headed north where they camped overnight.
Early on Saturday they were up and down the road for the first half of the trip. They camped again that night at Hinkley and rode the last 75 miles to Elk River on Sunday.
My husband, sister and cousin (John, Sonya and Katie) were part of the Geared Up Cycling team and helped raise over $10,000 for the team. John himself raised over $2100 - thank you everyone for your support!
Geared Up Cycling won the best team jersey. Aren't they cool!
The girls and I headed up on Sunday to meet them at the finish line. They enjoy watching all the riders come in. It's a fun experience to see.
John loved the ride and has already signed up to do it again next year, as has Sonya. Maybe someday one of us will join him, they make it look like so much fun.
