Ladybugs

One of Sarah's first words was bug.

The fact that the Asian beetles (aka ladybugs) seem to only get in our house through her room may have been part of that.

Every spring and fall as things warm up and cool down they start showing up in the house. The window in Sarah's room is the prime spot to find them.

This spring was no exception and one Sunday in April I finally caught it all with a camera. We had come home from church and Sarah spotted a 'bug' on the kitchen floor.

So what happens when Sarah spots a 'bug'?

Well, first she yells 'Bug!'.

Second, she runs to find a tissue.

Third, she brings it to you while continuing to remind you 'Bug!'.

Forth, she waits for you to catch said bug and dispose of it.

She will get close to the bug and will show you repeatedly where it is, but do not ask her to touch it.

I think that violates an unwritten little girl rule somewhere.

Just as you seem to find Ladybugs primarily in Sarahs room it is the same here. The best place to find them is in Jocelyn's room. She likes to "pet" the ladybugs. So glad to hear that John thinks he did well on the test. I can't wait to celebrate when you let us know he has passed.
