It's official!

The world took a new turn today around 1:30 when my coordinator Anna called to inform me of our referral. I had received several e-mails from the agency this morning stating that they were expecting our referral today, and then that they had received it and would be calling us.

I missed her first call while driving when I only heard it ring to voice mail, and then actually talked to her while waiting for an oil change in the van. After all the suspense of the waiting, it felt a little odd. I now know her name, age, size, and location, when I'm most anxious to see her face. Anna described her as having a round face, chubby cheeks, and pouty lips. Sounds like Rachel to us!

Tomorrow is going to be very hard. We want to open the package together as a family, and it looks like it will be delivered in the morning. So I'm going to literally have her photo in my hand , and not be able to look at it. Not to mention an e-mail with a photo attached that I am also not going to be able to open!

We do know her name is Lin Hue Sang. She was born February 14, 2007 - Happy Valentine's Day! She is currently living at the Yihuang County Social Welfare Institute in the Jiang Xi province and weighed 7 kg on Sept. 12, 2007. Our tentative travel dates at this point are the end of March, early April.
