Who doesn't love paperwork?

Paperwork. They call adoption a paper pregnancy, and given our recent onslaught, we must be in labor!

Multiple packets of travel paperwork and information have been received with the necessary requirements laid out for travel including Visas, flights, and what money you need to bring. We also learned that we needed to renew our home study again due to its expiration at the end of February. So we had to fill out more forms to update our background checks, certify our identities, proof of insurance, and update our physicians health reports again. This is one way to ensure John has a physical each year!

We also received Sarah's translated growth report which contains her daily schedule, information on her abandonment, and general information on her personality. We also learned that she was placed in foster care when she was a week old.

Here are a couple of sections from the report:
"At 6:30 a.m. of February 15th of 2007 our employee Li Shu Jun went outside to exercise and found a baby wrapped with a cotton-padded jacket at the entrance of our institute. At that time the baby was sleeping and didn’t cry. Li Shu Jun checked around. Since she didn’t find the person who abandoned the baby, she brought the baby to the children’s department of our institute to feed. On the next day we reported this case to local police substation. The police substation investigated and provided fondling certificate, then our institute accepted the fondling and finished enrollment documents for her. We named her Lin Hui Fang."

"Lin Hui Fang is an extroverted little girl. She can watch TV. She enjoys listening to the music and pleasant songs. She shakes her body with the music. She makes faces and narrows her eyes. Now she holds the bottle with both hands and drinks milk. She can hold food with her hand and eat. She can take few steps with her hands being held. She can jump on the floor. She likes musical toys. Lin Hui Fang is an active, lovely, and healthy little girl."

Keep in mind that this information is from last September, but doesn't it get you excited about her! The report also noted that she is active and sometimes impatient - a description of Rachel if I have ever heard one. We learned her favorite toys are a duck and a puppy. Good thing we have no shortage of those here!

On a closing note, our tentative departure date at this point is March 27. It has a 50/50 chance of changing, and if it does it will probably be to April 3. With our trip being two weeks in length, that would bring us home the day before Rachel's 6th birthday. I'm praying we're able to stay with the 27th, so Rachel can have her own day.

Hope you all had a good Valentine's day! We took the girls to a local hotel for some indoor swimming Friday night and this morning. They went to bed early they were so worn out, but they had a blast!
