Ice Time

We headed over to John's sisters today for lunch and have the kids skate for a couple hours.

The girls haven't been on skates since last winter.

Our nephew Dalton hadn't been off skates for 6 hours when we headed out.

They are a true Minnesota hockey family. Our niece Karson found out on Friday she made JV. (She's an 8th grader already!)

Can I mention that they are both really good at it?

Elizabeth ended up borrowing an old pair of Dalton's hockey skates and started out very tentative. By the end, she had really gotten the hang of it with a good stride and some stable momentum going.

Rachel was wearing her sister's old figure skates and proved she was the master of running on ice with her toe picks. Her grin went from ear to ear as she ran by.

Sarah just hung out and had fun watching all the activity. She especially enjoyed making faces through the glass at them, which they of course were making right back.

I did get grief from Karson for not including a person in the photos on my first post in ages the other day. Hopefully she will forgive me if I include her twice today. Now I owe Dalton.

Given all the missing time I need to make up for, I hope it is obvious that I will not be posting in chronological order! Enjoy the pics of people!
