We headed out to a state park that we had only been to once before. The weather was beautiful for Friday evening, while it rained ALL day on Saturday. I checked in at the office that evening when the rain finally tapered off and they had received an inch of rain.
We did have some fun checking out the trails on Friday and Sunday. We found a tree where it appeared someone had propped a board up years ago and the tree has now grown around it. It of course called for a picture with the girls.
On the first part of our hike Friday night Sarah rode on John's shoulders, but otherwise she walked the entire way. We were impressed to say the least with her effort as she hiked over a mile without complaint. Toward the end, she claimed John's walking stick and carried it a long way!
Sunday morning we took a boardwalk path to the waterfalls and the girls enjoyed this section of logs. After watching her sisters hop with both feet down the line, Sarah had to show she could stand like them. Hopping was a little out of her league.
