As the diaper changes...

I thought I would let all of you know how my day went yesterday. Thankfully today is going much, much better so far. We're only on our third outfit!

The medicine Sarah is on was taking a toll on her system yesterday. Around two o'clock all I wanted to do was whine about how bad my day had been, but I tried to focus on the positive side of the situation.

For lack of better things to focus on, I kept statistics. Here they are:
  • 8 clothing changes
  • 4 loads of laundry
Additional items cleaned beyond clothes included:
  • 2 blankets
  • high chair cover
  • crib bedding, crib, floor under crib, and wall next to crib (this one was the worst!)

Now for the positive:
  • I have a washing machine and plenty of detergent.
  • For all the messes, she didn't get me dirty until bedtime.
  • There is medicine for her illness and it is working.
  • I own a Little Bissell for cleaning carpet!
  • I don't live 100 years ago.
  • She has swallowed all her medicine without spitting it up.
  • She took a nap.
  • I actually made dinner.

The best part is that she slept all night in her own bed and only woke up twice with dirty diapers and went right back to sleep. Please pray for this little girls very sore bottom and digestive system as she deals with this medicine. I know she is feeling better as she tries to reach everything and actually pulled herself up to standing on the toy bin today!

Bless your heart!!!! And, bless that precious girl of yours! Her little system has been through a lot in the last three weeks! I am so grateful she has you to take care of her! Hang in there!!!

The positives outweigh the negatives-aren't we lucky to live today and have our conveniences:) as well as medicine to heal us.
I enjoy reading your journal-
Hugs for all of you
