A year ago today we were in China getting to know the newest member of our family. It has been a year of adventures.
We watched the video Sunday night of 'Gotcha Day' and it brought back memories. I would love to see all of our travel group families again and how their daughters have grown! It has been amazing to watch Sarah come out of her shell and let her personality shine. I'm sure they all have equally amazing stories.
You forget how much the year between the ages of one and two means. Looking back at the video and pictures has reminded me how much she has changed.
The thing that kept resounding in my head today as we talked about it was that it wasn't only our 'Gotcha' of Sarah, but her 'Gotcha' of us.
We are so blessed to have her in our lives, and I have a hard time remembering life before her sometimes. It certainly has made the wait worthwhile!
The next photo is from our trip to the zoo a little over a week ago. She has had another hair trim since then and it is definitely more of a bob now. She was just tapping away on John's head, significant progress from not wanting him to touch her at all a year ago.

Happy Gotcha Day to you guys! I love watching Sara grow- she is so beautiful! It has definitely been a wonderful few weeks of looking back on our adventures. I can't wait until Lily is old enough to want to hear our stories over and over again about our first week together.
