A trip to the zoo

We headed out to the Minnesota Zoo bright and early this morning. We walked the Tropics trail and watched the diver feed the fish at the coral reef, saw the coyotes on the Minnesota Trail, and spent some time at Discovery Bay watching the dolphins swim to name a few of the things we saw.

It was nice to spend some time in tropical temperatures even though we never left the state. It was Girl Scout Day at the zoo, so we were surrounded by little girls everywhere.

Our girls had a great time, and we are excited to return once it warms up some more. We certainly put some distance on our walking shoes.

I know we wore Sarah out because she took a four hour nap this afternoon!

While she napped, I was able to put some time in on a project I've been working on. I bought the fabric for this quilt 10 years ago for Elizabeth.

Last fall I got the inspiration to finally do it. (With a long break over Christmas.) With the assistance of an experience quilter friend, I have made it this far. Thank you Kerry!

I am feeling a little overwhelmed, but am just trying to focus on one part at a time. The original intention was to make a crib quilt, so I'm not sure how I am this close to a twin!
