Our first full day home

Our day began at midnight with Sarah's first wake up. After a bottle she stayed up with John until 1:45, and then slept until 4:30. She then stayed up with me until almost 7:00. It was obvious her stomach was driving her waking, which then led to general restlessness. She slept until 9:00 and then was awake all morning until an afternoon nap at 2 o'clock that lasted almost 4 hours. My main goal today was to feed her on a normal timeline to work on training her stomach. She crashed between 8:30 and 9:00, so we will see how well I did.

John was kind enough to let me sleep in very late. The girls had a ball playing with Sarah and I woke up to their overflowing giggles. They are in love with her and with playing with her. Rachel is having a hard time not being allowed to pick her up, since Elizabeth can manage it on her own. They work hard to make her smile, and fight over doing anything for her.

We have worked on some large motor skills. Sarah proved she can roll over from front to back, is working hard to sit up on her own, and stood at the coffee table (with some support for balance) and played a while this evening. She scoots backwards when put on her stomach, and is constantly stretching and reaching for things. Her little muscles are going crazy as she tries to master this all at once. You can see her changing constantly. The once docile diaper change has evolved into controlling the wiggler. Sarah no longer sits still to say the least.

Along with all the action, the smiles and smirks are coming just as frequently as well. There is a distinct difference between the two expressions and the smirk shows the attitude hiding inside her! (as you can see in the picture)
